Media seems to be missing following upgrade
Jane I am using a Project. I have uploaded a screenshot to show what I am seeing, with the white boxes in the background, and the Work With External File Links window superimposed. Sorry, I do not know where the screenshot image uploaded to; I thought it would appear in this text box. Silly me! The ...

Media seems to be missing following upgrade
I recently upgraded to V5 and now find that all my previously uploaded media does not show when I look at individual records or produce a report. When I look at View All Media, they are just showing as empty boxes with a cross. Sorry, I know this has been dealt with before, but I cannot find the ite...

Media in CD files
Thanks for that. I will go and do my homework and report back if I get stuck.
Thanks also for the ultra-fast response; nearly as good as having a tutor! Much appreciated.

Media in CD files
Having finally fixed a non-FH problem with my CD writer, I thought I was now ready to 'publish' my family history research to share it among the family by creating CD files. I managed to get a draft version done, and have looked at the content via Preview before burning it to CD. I have concluded I ...

Mystery grandchild
I have a census entry for a family which includes mention of a 10-year old grandchild, but I do not know who his parents are. How can I create a record for this child? Ideally, I would like to link him to his grandparents, but it may not be possible to skip the parental generation. Should I just lea...

Adding occupations to diagrams
Is there an easy way to include an occupation in the diagram boxes which currently show name, then BMD information? I feel it would be useful to see at a glance, for example, that an individual came from a line of ancestors following the same trade or profession, or departed from the family trade. I...

I am new to FH and have successfully imported one dataset from Legacy. However, when I followed the same procedure to export a second dataset, the records showing in FH were the same as the first one. (I have done separate trees for my own family, my brother-in-law's and my husband's.) At first I wa...
