I seem to have lost my Record window toolbar and I am not sure if it happened when I upgraded or before. Does anyone know how to recover it?

Timeline reporting
I understand that there isn't a timeline feature to FH. However I wonder if anyone has developed any custome reports for major historical events. An example would be a custon report showing everyone who lived through a particular war. Or anyone from Ireland who may have been effected by the potato f...

Unmarried parents?
Thank you for your response. Even with no date in the marriage field the diagram view does not distinguish between married and unmarried couples. I also have the problem that the Edward Newsome was who he believed was his father at the time of his marriage. Edwards record needs a big 'maybe' flag on...

Unmarried parents?
I have an individual who gives a fathers name on his married certificate but on his birth certificate there is no father. His Mother is Hannah Newsome and his father is Edward Newsome but I can't assume they were married. To add to the confusion, later in his life he took the name Roberts and had tw...

I have an ancestor who was registered as David Slingsby but for the most part of his life was called David Powell Slingsby. I put this down to him owning a Gunshop and his mothers name looked good on the sign. What is the best way to record this. The birth certificate was one of the last pieces of e...

Address list
I looked at that. It has a lot more information that I was looking for. I was hoping to create a simple list not unlike the Data - Places report. I want to create an list that I can take into excel and sort anyway I choose.

Address list
I want a list of all the addresses my ancestors lived at. I have been adding Census attributes and putting the town in the Place field and a first line address in the address field. There is a standard report for places but not for address. I tried a custom report but I hit problems in that is an in...

Move attribute
If I add a move attribute and fill in a few details I get a sentence like 'She experienced Move on 2 September 2001 in Derby' Is there a better way to do this or can the move attribute be altered to produce a plain english statement?

It looks like they have deleted my tree so I have uploaded a copy of my tree with the extras removed as per a previous posting of yours I read. I have also removed the children which is a possible source of the problem in the first place. Initially I had uploaded the whole tree. Then as an afterthou...

Hello Nice to meet you I've read some of your posts on this subject. I ran the validate and it found no errors. I think it found errors the first time I used FH but I let ot correct them. The tree views perfectly in FH too. I just don't understand it. I will try to get GR to clear my tree completely...

You should see the state of my tree as presented by Genes reunited. However, it only went wrong after I uploaded to GR from FH. I started my tree in PAF, then went to FTM and finally FH. Could the problems with my tree stem from an import/export problem. I have read past postings about GR problems a...
