Thanks Gerry
That answers my query just fine. I hadn't looked for it in Help. I just looked in 'Getting the most from Family Historian 4'
Bye for now[smile]

Before and after 1752
Could some kind person advise me how to enter dates in FH that are a) between 1 Jan 1700, say, and 24 Mar 1700, b) prior to 31 Dec 1751 in general, when England was still on the Julian calendar and New Year's Day was 25 Mar and c) between 1 Jan 1752 and 2 Sep 1752, when we had switched to 1 Jan for ...

Exported gedcom files show everyone as dead...
Yes. I have Deejay1's problem as well. I just put up with it. Jane says FH never adds records. Well, for living people GFT exports a record like: 1 DEAT 2 DATE Both entries are blank. FH, I suppose, interprets this to say I'm dead and writes a record: 1 DEAT Y The same thing happens with christening...

Hmm. On the contrary. I think FH exports DEAT records for everyone even they are empty, whereas GFT has no records at all for folk who have not died.
As I said earlier, if even an empty DEAT record exists, Tribal Pages shows them as dead. How can I stop these empty records  appearing?[confused]

I used to use GFT Family Tree software and exported a Gedcom from it to input to my web site on Tribal Pages. This worked fine. Now I'm using FH 4.0.2. The exported Gedcom to Tribal Pages records everyone as dead, including people I know that are living. I was in the habit of letting Tribal Pages re...

Cannot save census entry
Sorry guys, back again. In my haste to prove the save worked I didn't fill all the form in... (Doh!) How do I get back to it to edit it? When I reload GC it comes up with the next source ID and I can't alter it to the one I want. I can't find anything in Help to help me. BTW All the individuals are ...

Cannot save census entry
Thanks for the various suggestions. Somehow all my Documents folder was appearing inside my Desktop folder; not just a shortcut. This was totally throwing Gedcom Census (and probably lots of other apps as well). Now that's fixed, all is well.

Cannot save census entry
I'm using FH4.0.2 and GC6.0.6 but get this error message when trying to save my first Census Entry: 'There was an error when attempting to back up your family historian file. Check that this file is not currently open in another application, that you have sufficient disk space and that you have suff...
