Sorry Jane,
I didn't really look at the dates so obviously streets built in 1893 would not be on the 1891.
The reference for 1901 is
RG13 piece 3469 folio 48 page 18
regards
Dave

Hi Jane,
The reference for
Taliesin Street
RG12 piece 2899 folio 109 page 18
Juvenal Street
RG12 piece 2898 folio 13 page 20

Searching Census by address?
The 1911 census from FindmyPast has 8 pages for each entry. There are three pages for the individual, the main page, the address and the cover. There are then five pages for the area. The page with the neighbours (this is the one Ancestry has), the cover, the district details, the district totals an...

I wish someone had told me . . . When I started
The main thing I wish I had done when I first started was to make a note of WHERE the information came from. I have numerous notes of dates etc. which are probably correct but which I cannot find again to deduce where they came from.

Exported gedcom files show everyone as dead...
I seemed to have the opposite problem with TribalPages. When I uploaded my FH GEDCOM file, any person without a Death event was marked as living, even if their birth and marriage were in the 1700's. I had to manually go through adding a death before it would work correctly. The wonders of modern com...

Images and relative addressing
The way I get around the relative addressing is to have the images I want to link placed in the Media directory. I then use GC in the normal way. When it has completed, I move the images to the correct directories which sit under the Media directory. I then use Work with External File Links in FH4 t...

I use a free download called xplorer2 which is a dual pane replacement for windows Explorer. This allows a bulk rename function, although I have not actually used it. It may be worth looking at if you have a lot of files to rename.

Ancestry Price Hike
I have a worldwide membership and this has actually reduced in price from £199 to £155. They did try to charge me £199 again but the reminder email had a link to all their packages. When I looked, the worldwide was £155. I queried this and was told that I should pay £155, but there was no was to cha...

FH on Ubunto- Linux
I still use Windows on my main PC and had a dual boot on my old PC. I too was intending to move over to Linux but there are still a couple of programs I use are not compatible with Linux. In the end I did not use FH in anger on the Linux machine, but all the operations I tried worked. The file struc...

installation problem
I have installed FH on Ubuntu and the main problem I had after copying the dll files was remembering to override the default ones.
Run winecfg and on the libraries tab override the settings for the two dlls so that wine uses the native ones instead of the builtins.
I hope this helps.

FH on Ubunto- Linux
I don't know if this helps but I have got F.H. working on Ubuntu. Load Wine from http://www.winehq.org Follow instructions (set repository key, add repository, get package). Install FH from your version 2 disk. Get copies of mshtml.dll and shdocvw.dll from a Windows machine and install them into $HO...
