In my Records window there is nothing showing under the Relationship to Root column, how do I get the information back? It has been there before, but has now gone.

Thanks for that. It worked and I haven't lost anything that I wanted to keep. I didn't realise it was as simple as hitting the delete key!!

I find that I have somehow created two family records (IDs 50 and 93), which are identical. Can you tell me how to delete one record, without affecting the other one?

I've created a family group sheet and was wondering if it is possible to insert a diagram, showing the family, at the end? I've tried copying the diagram, but don't seem to be able to paste it on the sheet.

Can you tell me how to get the notes to appear when I publish a report?

I have written notes in an individual's Notes tab, but when I go to publish a report, say a Family Group Sheet, the notes don't appear.

I'm baffled! I've imported a family photo and put it in the media section. Then, I've linked all the individual faces from the photos, but none of them appear in their focus window. Is there something else I should have done to get to that stage? Diane

I do have another question though. If I want to save my backup to a memory stick, do I just change the Default Backup Folder to whichever drive it is in?

Yes, I did do exactly as you said, so I have two projects - the original and the restored one. They are all on the same PC. On Tools > External File Links, all the media files are listed under Project Data Folder - Media with no drive letters mentioned and there are no X marks against any File Links.

I've done what you suggest and saved the project as a Full Back up (zip file) under File/Back up, but the photos as still not there when I do restore. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't work out what.

I've found that I have duplicated a spouse, so all their descendants, etc, are duplicated. The husband did have a second marriage, but it shows that he married his first wife again. How do I delete the spouse the second time without deleting her completely?

You are correct in that my grandfather's and grandmother's parents were siblings. I am the root person and I'm using All Relatives diagram.

However, I've now enabled check for duplicates and hidden duplicated branches. The diagram looks so much better and is not so bulky now. Thanks.

How do I link an individual to another individual? I seem to have an ID set up for an individual and now find that she is the second partner to a male ID, but can't work out to link her to him.
