In Firefox the complete behavior is:
A new window with the title "Opening" opens, saying:
"You have chosen to open:
(2 blank lines)
which is: application/x-trash (40 bytes)

What should Firefox do with this file?

When you go to http://www.family-historian.co.uk I see a previous unseen behavior. It tries to open a file that, if you choose to save, saves with the name "download" in chrome or in firefox "nAONEn66", "MIzP0Eot" or possibly other names. It is a 40 bytes file. Hi, You can also try Kith and Kin. It is a shareware program from U.K where you can navigate and edit the tree, in a way similar to FH. I think Kith and Kin kind of tree is the best approach to deal with couples with common ancestors, as it can close the tree and therefore there are no duplicate...
