Advice on putting a Family History on the Web
Hi Thank you for the quick reply. Never thought about looking at RootsWeb as I have a Family Tree on Ancestry I just assumed they would be much the same. I think it will be a better direction to take as opposed to having a Website all alone in Cyberspace. Once again, thank you for the pointer. Regar...

I need to know a good Web Host etc. as I have had little luck using the Tesco Free Webspace I get with my Broadband. Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Regards, Campbell ID...

'All Relatives' diagram problem.
Hi Jane Thanks for that as it has helped but the problem is as I add more people to the chart it will inevitable have to be redone. I suppose I was hoping for some magic button that would display 'Everyone' without having to go through the extra 'Insert Into Diagram' palaver every time. Thanks anywa...

'All Relatives' diagram problem.
Hi Can anyone tell me if I can create an 'Everyone' diagram that looks more like the 'All Relatives' diagram and less like a firework going off ? I am trying to produce a diagram of the families in power in Scotland in the 17th Century for a university project and it is preferable to be able to see ...

Family Historian crashes when adding photographs.
I thought I would put in this concluding chapter to the FHUG so any interested party would know how it all ended. Well I got a new computer, a Dell Inspiron 530 complete with Vista, as the old one finally gave up the ghost. Luckily I saw it coming and had all my files on memory sticks, I then moved ...

Hi Simon Thank you for your interest. As it will take me some time to work my way through your list I will have to get back to you in due course. I have the feeling it is going to be Option 4: Corrupt Microsoft component used in the Insert Picture dialogue box. Thank you again. Regards, Campbell.

Family Historian crashes when adding photographs.
Hi Jane Sadly no luck so far. I have listed two procedures I tried out in the hope it might shine some light on things. Number 1 [As you suggested] 1] Opened a folder on the Desktop and labelled it 'FH Test Folder 1' 2] Opened Family Historian and created a empty file by clicking New on the File men...

Hi Jane
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I can confirm that all my pictures are linked and not embedded and they are all 'jpeg'.
I will now experiment with the other part of your reply and let you know the outcome.

Family Historian crashes when adding photographs.
Hi I seem to have developed a Bug in my Family Historian 3.1.2 Program when I try to install pictures from a folder. I follow the usual procedure I have used over the past two years as I have about 30 to 40 pictures in use: Select the person's record. Click on Insert> Pictures. Look in: GEDCOM & Fam...
