Good question. The gedcom format seems to allow support for 'change dates' (CHAN). These appear to be used by FH to record when an INDIvidual record was last modified. Wen you say 'I have attempted to edit various records' you have obviously done this in FH. When you close FH or save he database it stores all its data in the .GED file. Did your .GED file change?
