Thank you Mike. Yes I did have a Note Record for his death. Having deleted it, the word 'Death' has now gone.

Hi Jane,
Just the one entry 'Died' with the place of death.

Two death facts show up in Focus Window
I have just entered my first death fact since upgrading to version 5 and notice in the Focus Window it shows 'Died' with date and place of death but underneath that is the word 'Death' with no date etc. It's as if I have entered a death fact and a died fact, eventhough, in the Property Box, there is...

How to rename a large number of files?
I think Bulk Rename Utility will do the job. It is a free program and is an excellent renaming tool. If you decide to try it, at the bottom of the screen are the fields used to rename your files. First select the files you want to rename, you need to use number 3 field - Replace (in your case Smith)...

The free Ancestry app 'Tree To Go' is very good. Two things to bear in mind though, you have to have your tree uploaded to the Ancestry web site and you need wifi access to view the photos, events and notes in your tree.

As Anne said, it is normal practice when ordering online to have to wait a certain amount of time before they can confirm an item is not delivered. I am waiting for an item of clothing from an online supplier, and I have to wait 21 days before they will confirm non delivery. I must say, I do agree w...

Creating a Report without Images
Thank you Gerry and Peter for your quick response. Turning the pictures off globally is exactly what I want to do, so much easier than trawling through each individual image and turning them off that way. Using the Picture Tab in the Report Options did work to a degree, but I still had the images in...

Creating a Report without Images
I want to create reports without the media images, but am a little confused as to what does what. Let me explain. Lets assume I want to ommit a baptism record image, if I go to the 'Multimedia' tab of an individual and select the image, edit then tick the 'Exclude from Diagrams and Reports' boxes th...

I totally agree with you David. My husband bought me an iTouch for Christmas and the first app I looked for was a family tree one, after reading about Gedview I downloaded it and think it is a brilliant app. I couldn't figure out how to import a gedcom from a website, but found importing one from my...

Thank you Sabine, now I have it looking just how I want. I shall definitely look further into the functions and, hopefully, personalise things even further.

Hi Bilko,
Could you confirm that it is a book from S&N genealogy suppliers. On TWR Computing they appear to do a 4 ring binder version.
Thank you.

Report Record Heading on two lines
Sorry I cannot help you Sabine, but my family group sheet report looks slightly different from yours. The header shows both parents names on one line, but I would also like it to show the family ID#, how can I do this?
Thank you.
Thank you.
