Free Trial Software
Hi Jo et al I too see the benefit of having programs installed on the computer. Using online software can take a while to get a result by the time you have logged on, found the site then got to the page. Like the new version, it's a bit less 'busy'. Also liked the fact that I just had to download th...

Huge source citation list
Hi Jane Thanks for your speedy response! Yes, I have checked the options but can see no way of changing the way the list looks. I have loaded 9 sources into a 'test' gedcom and inserted links to the 23 individuals but this results in a 4 page list of 108 items at the end of the report. Any further...

Huge source citation list
Hi - I wonder if anyone can help. I have been entering my sources & linking each piece of info to different fields on different individual records but when I print a Family Group Sheet this results in a long list of sources - many of them repeated several times but with the different footnote ref n...

Distributing a completed tree
Many thanks for everyone's advice. The more I learn about FH the more I am seeing the error of my ways (see my previous posting in this thread)
The GedMill program seems like a good idea.
I will have a look at it.
Thanks again

Auto source citation on existing individuals
Hi all, Is it possible to perform an auto source citation on existing individuals? For instance. Say I have an existing family in FH that I then locate a census for. How can I create a source for that census then apply it to all the individuals within the family so that the info all the details appe...

PALM Based Software
No need for replies. I have found that Gedwise runs ok. Much to my surprise [smile]. For anyone considering doing the same its display only, no editing possible which suits me just fine.

PALM Based Software
I fear this going a little off-topic but does anyone know if there is anyway to get FH on to my Trea 600 by Handspring. It is palm powered.
This would be unbeliebably useful although I think it is wishful thinking.
Regards
Adrian

Distributing a completed tree
I am new to FH so forgive me if this area has been covered somewhere. Once I have completed my tree I wish to distribute it on CD to family members. How do I do this? I want the recipients to find looking at the tree a easy as possible and the media easy to access of not actually shown by default. A...
