Alternatively, if you want to keep those Ancestor/Descendant Counts, then modify the Rows filter tab of the Query to
Exclude if... =FactLabel(%FACT%) matches and specify Ancestor Counts, then repeat for Descendant Counts.
Ask again if you need more specific instructions.

Re: Deleting trees no longer wanted
Jean, all the names of the trees will be removed from the list, but the files will still exist on the disk. I wonder if you are not using FH to its full potential. If you are relying on the File > Gedcom File Tasks list to open GEDCOM files, maybe you don't realise that it is better to create Projec...

Re: Deleting trees no longer wanted
In Jane's absence may I explain. You cannot fix the problem anywhere in FH itself. In fact, you must close FH. Follow the link to Clean Out the Recent File List and download the fhclrmrulist.exe application file. After the download, double-click that .exe file to run it on your PC and it will comple...

In that case, ensure the Expression is =IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>TITL%=“Parish Register”) and undertake the detective work I suggested earlier.

Lorna, JayBee has used SOUR>TITL consistently throughout for all Box Conditions.
BTW: SOUR>_TITL is invalid! No underscore is required.

OK, that sounds good. Let's try some detective work... Open a Diagram that has the Box Burial Condition defined and includes the person who has the Burial Citation. Double-click that person's box to display their Property Box. Click the yellow scroll Show Sources icon to display the yellow Sources F...

The Expression looks fine.
But is the Source record Title exactly Parish Register the same as the Source records for Baptisms and Marriages?
Are you sure you have selected an Icon in the Box Features for this Condition?

Re: 1841 census showing children who were dead
Sue, that is the theory, but I imagine a large proportion of people, especially in 1841, were illiterate, so would need help from the enumerator to fill out the schedules.

Re: Importing a RootsMagic GEDCOM
It sounds like you are trying to use File > Merge/Compare File... to import a RootsMagic GEDCOM file into a Project. I suggest it is probabaly not a good idea to directly import any GEDCOM from another product into your master Project. The reason is that you do not know whether the GEDCOM is fully c...

It may be the Lenovo graphics card drivers or alternatively did the Samsung monitor come with its own interface card and drivers that may need updating. Do you have a local computer repair shop that may offer advice?
I get the impression that FH does stretch some graphics features.

Re: 1841 census showing children who were dead
However, unlike 1911, in 1841 the people did not enter their own census details but they were compiled by an enumerator. So misunderstanding the census instructions is not a valid explanation. The enumerator should have only entered people present on the census night. Perhaps the enumerator asked ab...

Re: Questions from TMG Refugee
Linda, it only looks different because your columns/panes are customized to be much wider. The Age & More columns are way off to the right. Not sure why the Add Spouse/Partne r link is bleeding through? That looks like a graphics display problem. Although on the Notes tab any short Note text is visi...

The method of deleting any records is much the same and explained in FHUG Knowledge Base Delete One or Many Records . Hello Jean. You mention the 'diagram Individual List' but I don't think you are talking about Diagram Charts. I suspect you are talking about the Records Window and its Individuals tab columns. One of those columns is the Relationship to Root but only works if a File Root Individual record is select...

It is very disappointing that you both seem to think they are no good. You could always simply work with the windows APIs directly rather than using the modules. I don't believe either of us said the fhFileUtils module, in general, is no good. We focused only on a substitute for Directory Tree . Ho...

Re: Mac/Linux-compatible version of Backup & Restore FH Settings via Windows plugin
Yes, Mark is correct. The getFolderContents (...) function is far from a substitute for the Code Snippet Directory Tree . luacom.DateFormat = "table" must be used to get a locale independent date-time text string and then os.time(...) used to convert it to the epoch seconds since 1/1/1970. That requ...

Re: Mac/Linux-compatible version of Backup & Restore FH Settings via Windows plugin
Mark, you are still missing the point. Regardless of any backward support for FH V5 and V6, the problem afflicts FH V7 because fhFileUtils does not provide a substitute for the Code Snippet Directory Tree . So even if my plugins abandoned FH V5 and V6 the problem would still exist. It seems to be a ...

Re: Mac/Linux-compatible version of Backup & Restore FH Settings via Windows plugin
Sorry, Mark, you misunderstand. For many years the Code Snippet Directory Tree has worked fine based on the lfs library but only supports ANSI file paths. My more complex plugins all use the same library of Code Snippets that I know to work for me. The fhFileUtils does not include a substitute for t...
