Mike
Thanks again for the guidance. All worked OK to safely change 4237 residence events in census years to Census events and the Census Plug in now gives me a much more manageable list of just 120 Missing Census returns to locate
Thanks
Nigel

Re: Lookup Missing Census Facts: Determining Factors
Mike Thanks; In reply to your queries: The associated Residence/Place data is cleaned and formatted now to be Town, County, Country; eg Ludlow, Shropshire, England. All the fuller "Address elements" or ecclesiastical Parish is dropped down into the FH Address Field,.... eg 1 High Street, L...

Re: Lookup Missing Census Facts: Determining Factors
Mike
Thanks, for the very helpful guidance.
My dates for residence at the moment are all just plain year date of eg 1861 or 1871 etc. Do I need to find a way to convert them into eg 31 March 1861 ( or whatever I can see from Ancestry Sources is the correct day and month?

Lookup Missing Census Facts: Determining Factors
Mike Sorry for another question, on a different topic. I see the Plugin for Missing BMD Records FAQ has a list of the factors which determine if a BMD record is missing. Is a similar list available please for the missing Census Facts Plugin? Do you have any quick hints or pointers to help me resolve...

Re: Unable to load object
Just thought I would offer an update for those following this thread, in case they are having similar issues. I have reported the problem to Calico, who have responded positively. They have reviewed my database and replicated the issues experienced in their offices. An update version 6.2.3 will be f...

Re: Retaining Individual record ID's
Mike Thanks for the heads up, and prognosis. I did as you would expect earlier today work through the Knowledge posts I could find re importing/exporting etcbefore raising a question, and the guidance, which from memory I think included use of one of your plugins. But as much of the discussion seeme...

Retaining Individual record ID's
Hi Not sure if I should ask this question in General Usage or the Importing and Exporting thread ? If possible I would like to keep using FH as my main database, as it manages chart creation well and Calico are kindly currently looking into an issue with how FH deals with large jpg file sizes linked...

Re: Unable to load object
Chris Thanks for quick reply. I think I have a solution now as below, but think that it may highlight a need for a tweak to Calico's software or an idea for a Plugin. First thing I did was eliminate any hardware issues as the cause of the large diagrams with media content not loading object images, ...

Re: Unable to load object
Hi I have been having similar problems as described in the earlier thread running FH on a 24 month old Windows 8 upgraded to Windows 10 laptop with 8GB RAM and loads of spare hard disc memory. Just wondered if others still having the problem and for some reassurance that I don't need a new laptop ! ...

Re: Small images in Diagrams
Mike Thanks for the hints. Had not discovered a couple of the tricks. I agree entirely with the underlying principles of focusing on building a tree with multiple series of corroborating and cross refernced facts and sources with citations, wherever possible with the media attached to the facts. Am ...

Re: Listing all individuals in a Diagram
Steve Thanks for the idea. My brain can conceive that is what I am in practice trying to do; Identifying records with gaps in them. But whilst I have in past managed to do the odd series of IFTHEN statements in MSExcel I'm not sure yet that I have enough knowledge how to follow the expression route....

Re: Listing all individuals in a Diagram
Lorna Just noticed that the method does not actually exclude from the list created the individuals who reside within closed down (hidden from display) branches of the diagram. I can probably work round this OK just from knowledge of the surnames of the lead family branches. But just wondered if ther...
